I think that Social Media sites should put a limit on the number of pictures of them-self a person can post in one month. There, I said it. They can even make it a generous limit of one pic per week. That should leave plenty of opportunity to show the world images of yourself when it is justified.
There are perfectly reasonable situations in which posting a picture of yourself is fine. I understand posting a picture of yourself and friends or family on a special occasion. I understand posting a picture of yourself if something funny has happened, like someone drawing a picture of a penis on your face.

Maybe you got a new haircut or tattoo. Maybe you've been in a horrible accident and need to debut your entirely new face. Maybe you just need a new facebook icon. All of those reasons are fine with me.
That said, I can only come up with one reason to post a picture of yourself almost daily and that reason is because you feel it is unfair that not everyone has the opportunity to bask in the glory of your breathtaking visage and you want to remedy that problem.

At least that is the reason that immediately comes to mind. Here are some other thoughts:
- You have short term memory loss and need to remind yourself daily what you look like.
- You think everyone else has short term memory loss and we have all forgotten what you look like since yesterday.
- You're doing some form of time lapse, modern art installation meant to demonstrate the passing of time and how we are all slowly dying.
- You're being held hostage and need to take a daily photograph of yourself holding the newspaper to assure your family you have not yet been beheaded.
- You are a celebrity and therefore know there actually are people out there that want to bask in the glory of your breathtaking visage on a daily basis.
